Report cards and conferences are two week away!! Be on the lookout for signing up for conferences. It can be done with the paper or online. We will have two guest speakers this week. Both speaking about their experience working in Africa. Students should have a chosen a topic for their research project. For the next month or so, they will be gathering information. This will culminate on Research Night - Tuesday, February 13th from 5:30 - 7:00. This is a mandatory event for all middle school students. The best way you can support your child is to ask them what they are learning and talk about how they might represent that information in their visual display. It would also be great to be on the look out for any opportunities there might be in the community for them to support their topic. It could be a speaker or a museum exhibit, a documentary or someone for them to contact through email. The more they talk about it and explain their information to someone else, they better prepared they will be on Research Night. Whoops! A little late on this week's news...
